Brief
Bio of Heather Comber
Heather
effectively ministers from her heart with an excitement, passion
and transparency that brings her listeners to a new dimension of
intimacy with Jesus Christ. Her journey has taken her on a path
of trust surrender and hunger for others to come into a deeper awareness
of God. Whether speaking to you in person, within a group setting,
or on paper, he words are always engaging, inspirational and encouraging.
Her wit and keen sense of humour have made her a popular retreat,
conference and workshop spearker.

Heather has been married to
her husband Murray for twenty-five years and has served as both
a pastor's wife and a companion and partner in ministry. They have
both experienced change in their lives as after returning to school
three years ago, Murray began to travel in itinerant ministries
teaching leadership and personal development in both the church
and corporate settings.

They have two children, Justin
and Allyssa and make their home in Ottawa, Ontario.

The
following are a few of the conference and workshop titles that Heather
has developed. There are other topics and workshops available, many
of which are covered in the book. Others are in continual development
especially as she responds to the needs of those who call.
Fruit
of the Wilderness

Hosea
2:14- give us this tender invitation . . ."Therefore I am now
going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly
to her. There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make
the Valley of Achor (Valley of Trouble) a door of hope. There she
will sing as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up
out of Egypt." . . .

Many
times on this journey through life, we encounter desert experiences
- periods of wilderness, loneliness and seeming unfruitfulness.
This scripture shows us that we have been given a divine invitation
to the wilderness with the Lover of our souls. In fact His voice
tenderly calls us apart to that quiet place with Him. Discover the
beauty of the journey and the resources we have been given to make
the desert a place of refreshing. Understand why He calls us apart
and the fruit that will be developed in our life as a result of
our time alone with Him.
He
said Yes and Dancing in the Dark

God
has given His blessing on the ministry of women. Understand the
calling Jesus Christ has placed on women and the ability he gives
to be effective handmaidens in a world desperate for Him. There
are however, some obstacles we encounter as we endeavour to work
in His Kingdom. Dancing in the dark talks about issues that cause
our feet to stumble and make us less effective in our ministry efforts.
Some obstacles include jealousy, competition, identity and self-worth.
God wants to release His women into effective ministry and as Habakkuk
3:19 so beautifully states . . ."The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on
the heights."
Discovering
Divine Romance

St.
Augustine once said "Thou has made us for thyself, O Lord;
and our hearts are restless until they rest in thee." We were
created to know God and to walk in intimacy with our Lord. There
is a divine romance that waits for all of us. Understand that from
the very beginning we were created for communion with God. In His
divine plan He made provision for us to be reconciled with Him through
the laying down of His Son. There are however, obstacles that keep
us from knowing God in all His fullness. We examine the lives of
some amazing women from the Bible and learn through their experiences
how to overcome the obstacles to discovering divine romance.
Journey
through the Seasons of a Woman

For
some change is exciting and refreshing. For others, change brings
pain and insecurity. A women's life is a constantly changing experience.
Some changes are welcome and invited; others seem to be an interruption
and inconvenience. We look at the changes and developments in a
woman's life from the dreams and desires of a young girl and discover
the beauty and excitement that God has planned for every season
in our life.
All Broken Up and Nowhere to Go!

Have
you ever looked at others and wondered why their world seems so
perfect and yours so not!
Understand that God has placed incredible value in our brokenness.
In fact He values that which often others do not. Take your broken
and cracked places and allow the light of God's presence to shine
through you making you a vessel that brings change and impact to
those around you.
